Chris Pratt is Star-Lord in This New Guardians of the Galaxy Trailer

God I hope this is going to be good! I loved the first trailer, but something still feels off to me.

@the_mast: Something I am worried about is how they are portraying the Nova corps.

I wasn't fond of Pratt as Star-Lord when it was announced and I'm not fond of him now. He looks like action Conan O'Brian.

Aside from that, I'm worried about Drax. We'll see, though.

@g_man: I know this is a little off topic but I think that it is bull crap that everyone in the Cancerverse survived except the one person that matters, Richard Rider. I mean I feel like the only reason Peter Quill is alive is to promote the movie.

This actually looks pretty damn good. Looking forward to it.

This movie just looks like a lot of fun for people like me, who know next to nothing about the Guardians. I hope it doesn't disappoint long time fans, though.

I hope this tops Cap 2, Chris Pratt is hilarious and that 2 second flight scene was amazing.

Maybe its me, maybe its just the music....and those awful Nova Centurion costumes, but just a tad concerned. The sci-fi and action looks great, but Gunn has been known to be campy in his past films. Really want this to be gooooooooood.

Can you say AWESOME? May not have been a whole new trailer, but man was that epic. Each Phase 2 movie keeps getting better, and after how good Cap 2 was, who knows how good this will be? Hope it'll be successful enough to become a series.

Only a few seconds we havnt already seen but im very excited about this movie. I have high hopes it will be my new favorite marvel movie.

I could have totally avoided this movie if they hadn't cast Chris Pratt. Now I am torn between my affection for the actor and my hatred of a talking raccoon.... crap.

@tazzmission: Nah marvel can't use Venom as he's a Spider-man character but Bug was originally meant to be in this movie.

i didnt think of it till now and its probably a stretch but since agent venom will be in gotg next month i kind of wonder if marvel somehow could use him in a gotg movie. im not saying i want him but it is food for thought

That said, I am pretty excited for this. I hope we get a lot of subtle references to the bigger Marvel Universe. Like just a small mention of something like the Enigma Force would knock my socks right off! lol

My guess is that the orb is another one of MCU's version of the infinity gems.

Well Marvel have said if the movie is successful enough then they will make spin off movies. I can see a Star Lord solo and a Rocket & Groot buddycop.

i have a feeling gotg will be a massive hit and that makes me wonder if marvel will continue on with there space type charachters. it can also mean planet hulk on the table as well and just for the hell of it i want to see a space punisher movie.

ive shown the trailer to a lot of people who arent even comic fans and to me it seems like based on there reactions they will go see it. one of them was a receptionist at my shrinks office. and she even stated shell keep an eye out

nothing wrong with that at all imo. hell i think thats what made winter soilder really really good.

imo its marvel dark knight only because of its story telling .

as for gotg i love how it seems like a farscape/ dr who hybrid becaus ei love both shows

And that's the great thing about this new Marvel Phase. They seem to be going for more genre films now with this sci-fi movie and Winter Solider being a spy thriller.

Looks like Marvel have found their next franchise that could be an additional universe to the Avengers

Beyond excited for this movie, love a good space opera. This looks like it could be the beginning of something big.
