The only Goon I've ever read was Dethklook vs. The Goon. That said, this trailer makes me really want to see the movie and read the comic.

I always imagined that Franky would be voiced by Tom Kenny doing a Brooklyn accent, but Paul Giamatti did a WAY better job then what I expected.

wow. pretty rad. I wish they played down the "plastic-ness" of the 3d animation a bit. Gave some more texture and grit to it. Feels like action figures that are moving.  
 
I had no idea they were making a movie of this series. So excited. This could be the next wallace and gromit

I think Eric Powell is actually writing this and I trust him not to screw this up completely. It looks really really good so far. Can't wait to see the finished product.
