Off the screen and onto the page, the show CHARMED is returning after four years as a comic from Zenoscope.

According to Bleeding Cool, the series will have a zero issue out in June and then the series proper will start in July at Comic Con. The property’s from a different era now, having run from ’98 to ’06 on the WB before it became the CW. As I recall, it was produced by Aaron Spelling and was basically MELROSE PLACE meets SABRINA THE TEENAGE WITCH. Here’s a bit of the official description from the show...

Charmed chronicles the conflicts and the love among three vastly different sisters and their need to come together to fulfill an ancient witchcraft prophecy.

So, general enough to allow for eight or so seasons and however many episodes of stories. My mind turns, as it always does, to that Mike Deodato Jr. series WITCHES for Marvel that was delayed for so long. Does anybody else here remember that? I think it was supposed to be a CHARLIE’S ANGELS style team-up book with Satana and two other supernatural girls from the MU doing various missions of Dr. Strange. Was it similar to this?

Anyway, what do you think of this, oh spell casting Comic Vine community? Does the prospect of a CHARMED comic bewitch you, or leave you hexed?
