We've reached the halfway point of Captain America Reborn. What is interesting here is we find out that Captain America has been stuck jumping around his timeline for a while now. He mentions returning to certain points more than once. Cap has had an interesting life so jumping around to different points might not be too bad, right? Well, just think about what he did for several years...
Being a big fan of Captain America, I manage to talk them into letting me read this issue early. I've had it since Friday and it's time to let you guys know what I thought about it:
I am literally on the edge of my seat with this series. I know some people don't like the way Cap seems to be coming back but it's working for me. I've said it several times, I have complete faith in Ed Brubaker. I believe he's had this all planned out since he first wrote the Death Of Captain America. It makes more sense that the Red Skull would have something more in mind than just having Cap killed. There's no way he'd allow someone else the satisfaction of killing him. He'd want to do it with his bare hands. The irony of having a loved one pull the trigger just doesn't seem enough. So now we're left wondering what exactly was the Red Skull's plan? Are things going according to his plan? How is Cap going to return? Is he just going to appear in his withered body and get up? I have no idea where this is going to go next and that's why I'm enjoying it. Be sure to pick this up tomorrow.
