Captain America #600 Changs Everything

At least, that's what Marvel is telling us.

We're on the verge of seeing Captain America #600 come to print.  I know I'm not the only one to voice my disappointment at having issue #50 one month and then jumping to #600 the next.  What is more important is the story.  What monumental event will occur in this issue?  Marvel is billing it as the issue that "changes everything."

In the comic, it will be the anniversary of the day that Captain America died.  The Marvel Universe will reflect on their loss.  But the entire issue won't just be a rememberance for Cap.  Mark Waid and Roger Stern will join Ed Brubaker in bringing over 60 pages of all new stories.  There will also be selected reprints featuring the works of Stan Lee and a Cap cover gallery.  Let's not forget a certain girl without a world that will be showing up.  What are the plans for her?

Issue #600 is on sale June 17, 2009.  Pencils will be by Butch Guice, Luke Ross, Dale Eaglesham, Al Avision, Howard Chaykin, David Aja, Rafael Albuquerque and Kalman Andrasofszky with a cover by Steve Epting (and 50/50 cover by Alex Ross).  The cover price will be $4.99 for all this fun.

What do you think the "next chapter" will bring?  Do you see Steve Rogers returning anytime soon?  What will Rikki Barnes do here?  How will she and Bucky interact?
