C2E2 2014: Deadpool

What is everyone's favorite "merc with a mouth" going to be up to in the upcoming months?

Quite a bit of Deadpool news to come out of C2E2. Two books were announced for the character who is anything but normal.

This July, Deadpool will be taking on none other than X-Force! Written by Duane Swierczynski and drawn by Pepe Larraz, this four-part mini-series takes readers back to the 90s where Cable and his off-again, on-again partner, Deadpool first met, which actually happens before NEW MUTANTS #98. X-Force has to travel through time to stop Deadpool before he messes with American history,

This July, writers Gerry Duggan & Brian Posehn team up with artist Reilly Brown to tell the first meeting and early romance of Deadpool and Shiklah. Originally, this was one of Marvel's Infinite comics, but now, it's making its way to print form. Check out all the craziness, featuring characters like Blade, Werewolf by Night, and M.O.D.O.K. in this printed series.

The more Deadpool the better one of the best comic book characters out there. Also good thing they are releasing the vampire stuff i read issue 1 because my comic store gave it to me for free but i didn't read the rest and i'm really curious since the girl in this ends up marrying Deadpool.

Deadpool is overused and undervalued.. he doesn't get the epic story that he deserves and is always the moron who doesn't benefit a plot now. It's sad to see him wasted when he could be utilized as a Marvel superstar. Maybe in another few years he'll be solidified as a character with purpose. Before you give me any shit know that in my lifetime I've spent well over $1000 on Deadpool specific comics hoping for his stories to engrave him amongst the other Marvel greats and every time I'm underwhelmed but content that he still gets some love.
