Am I the only one that thinks the emblem on his belt looks like an owl's head? Could there be a possible connection to the Court of Owls?

I know it sounds like a stretch, but he is being written by James Tynion IV who is the current writer of Talon and Red Hood and the Outlaws, a former college student of Scott Snyder's, the back-up writer for Snyder's Batman, and Bronze Tiger is first appearing in a bat-family book.

@jaken7: It's actually a tigers head. If you look closely you can see that it has a snout not a beak.

@vortex13: Mmm...that's debatable. The ears are definitely owl-like, as well as the eyes and the way the nose (whether it's a snout or a beak) points down like that. I could totally be wrong though. If you just compare Bronze Tiger's head to that emblem though, they don't look alike.

The character loses alot of what made him special now that he's a meta-human tiger-man. Still, the design looks sweet. This should be fun.

this is dumb. So basically he is Bronze Tiger in name only. Why not just make a new character? The point of Bronze Tiger was the he isn't meta.

So now he gets a downgrade from a top 5 DC martial artist and loses his suicide squad connection to be a former playmate of Jason's....great.

Bronze tiger is on of those characters i thought was pretty cool but never really new that much about and i would like to read more about him so I'm pretty stoked to seehim in the new 52 and hopefully cat man also

You know, I actually saw this coming. Not Bronze Tiger returning, how he'd look like if he were to return. I guess I'm getting used to these uninspired redesigns.

Looks good... sword is unnecessary though. Still not sure which of these sketch reveals I am supposed to get excited for since they tend to be people that's not been seen or heard from in decades.

NOOOOO. What? Why. no just no. Why does he have to be all mutated? Just make him normal Ben Tuner/Bronze Tiger. This guy defeated Batman in hand to hand combat! He was a total bad a** as a human. He had no methuman powers, he was not a mutated beast looking guy. He just had good ol'fashion ass kicker abilities. One of the greatest martial artist in DC comics. He just looks ridiculous now. -_-

[sidenote] He also had a connection to Cassandra Cain, which means she could possibly turn up soon. Hopefully not a mutated Beast bat thing.

I think a were-beast character would be cool. But that is just not Bronze Tiger. That isn't his deal at all. Really at this point why not make a new character. If he is going to be so different I'd rather he just be another character.

This is just unoriginal like something you'd see done in the 90s. Bronze Tiger is a top 5 DC martial artist. He's human. But as you said DC is doing a number on average looking black heroes. DC tanked the Static and Mr. Terrific looks. Cyborg doesn't look human. Vixen and Black Lightning are looking good (now that Vixen is off JLI), but these two are in limbo.

The head isn't the problem, I like that too. However, he wasn't a mutate tiger beast. He just dressed in tiger persona. Why couldn't he just look like his normal pre-flashpoint self?

The new Bronze Tiger looks cool, but I would rather a different character than screwing up the original.

I can live with Blue Devil although its not great a little too BDSM for me.

The Bronze Tiger design would be cool if it was a new character. I mean he kind of looks like a dude in one of those animals are people movies. Or a guy from a fighting game or anime/manga.

Ultimately this is just going to make him a little incompatible with a lot of stories and writers.

Now I know how ninja turtles fans felt after micheal bay made them aliens. Yeah... it hurts.

But I eill give it a shot. This is the same reaction I had with WW's pants and powergirls new (now old)costume and now I really wish they had them back.

Cool design but now he's not black, he's half a cat? Goes from top tier martial artist to mutate? What does DC have against black characters?
