'Beware the Batman' Teaser and Opening Sequence

It's time to get excited for the new Batman series.

It's been odd not having an actual Batman animated series airing. It's been a while since we've seen Batman: The Brave and the Bold. Thankfully soon we'll have the debut of Beware the Batman. It may be an odd title but it looks pretty cool.

And what you need to know is the first episode debuts this Saturday, July 13, on Cartoon Network.

A new teaser image has been released over at CBR's Spinoff Online:

More surprising is the fact that the opening sequence was released last week and I'm only just seeing it now. Yikes! Why didn't anyone tell me this was out?

@smart_dork_dude: Correction there have been 6 Batman animated shows: BTAS, TNBA, Batman Beyond, The Batman, BTBATB, and now Beware the Batman, and 3 shows that have him in a big role: Justice League, JLU, and Young Justice.

Don't forget though that even though there is a lot of Batman there has also been quite a bit of Superman too. Even though Superman has only had 1 animated show: STAS, he was in 4 shows: Justice League, JLU, Legion of Superheroes, and Young Justice. He also has had equal presence in the DCUAOM (DC Universe Animated Original Movies) as Batman, and he did have the most successful live action show about superheroes to date with Small ville. And he did appear in Batman Beyond, BTBATB, and The Batman.

@batshrine: I'm talking solo shows, not team shows.

I'm looking forward to it. I was turned off a bit by the look of the character design at first, but the more I see it move, the more I like it. The animation of the fight sequences looks good.

The list of characters is also very promising.

I don't think this will replace my favourite batman animation but it's definitely going to to be different and that's a good thing.

Did anyone see the promo that has Alfred with two pistols? What is up with that?

Yeah, if we compare those it's not even close. Superman has a very rich and fascinating mythology which has been barely explored, Batman on the other hand as been adapted to cartoons god knows how many times.

Also, completely unrelated, WHERE'S MY FLASH SHOW?!?

Exactly!!!! Some may say that Superman's villains are lackluster, I think the exact opposite, but when you think about it over half of his villains are the basis for every other villain in comics!!!!!

Lex Luthor, the original mad scientist supervillain.

Bizarro, from who we gained villains who have all of a superheroes powers yet none of their do good compulsions

Brainiac, the basis for world destroying alien conquerors

Mr. Mxyzptlk, from whom the inspiration for reality warpers comes from.

Metallo, technically speaking he's the very first cyborg in comics

Parasite, we get power draining villains/heroes from him

And those are just a few. Superman's mythos has numerous great characters and stories, but only if they would get the ball rolling with a new show that takes advantage of them!!!!!!!

As for The Flash, it's been a long time coming with his show too!!!!!

not going to see it ,as two DC shows i watched were replaced my go titans (w/e) and this .

I'm assuming you mean YJ and GL: TAS, pretty sure those two were canned because they didn't bring in any money. (YJ has overpriced toys I think, and GL's movie merchandise didn't sell well)

Gonna give this a try.
