Beware the Batman - 'Control' Clips and Images

The League of Assassins hasn't given up yet. Using one of their special members, things are going to get a little messy for Batman and Katana.

On the next all-new episode of Beware the Batman, Batman and Katana will have to continue to deal with the League of Assassins. You can catch "Control" on Cartoon Network Saturday, September 21, at 10:00 a.m. EST/PST.

Desperate to gain access to the Ion Cortex after the kidnapping failure of Jason Burr, the League of Assassins instead send one of their specialized members to steal the information from Burr’s mind. Half human and half computer upgrade, the assassin Cypher breaks into Jason’s lab and takes over his mind. Batman and Katana try to stop him, but Katana inadvertently allows herself to be captured when she sees Jason being harmed. Now controlling both Jason and Katana, Cypher escapes with Batman in pursuit. Now, Batman must not only face Cypher, but his well-trained protégé Katana!

Warner Bros Entertainment sent us a couple clips for the episode.

And here we see Batman...observing from outside a window.

You can also check these clips out on our video player if you want HERE and HERE.

Here's a few more images to check out as well.

wow there really getting villain that no one knows about

I have to admit, this show is winning me over. I am even starting to kind of like the style. I still hate the show's version of Alfred though..

Cypher looks cool, but.... Who is Cypher?

I'm glad they're bringing back things from previous episodes, having a form of continuity makes more excited for future episodes. Hopefully by the end of the season we'll get at least a tease at Ra's al Ghul.

Cool revamp of Cypher.

I was wondering if he was created for the show.

Interesting visual reboot of Cypher

I've come to really like Beware. I've seen plenty of Batman shows so I'm quite find this one is doing things its own way, staying clear of the obvious path. It feels like the show is steadily finding its footing. I really enjoyed the last episodes Allies and Family and I'm looking forward to this one! Haven't come across Cypher in the comics though...

I guess Batman won't let Katana have a dinner night off lol.

what is this guy with a crush on katana doig here?

These villains I swear. Bring in the A listers lol

Posted by Smart_Dork_Dude

@ultrastarkiller: My main problem is half of them are just stand-ins for A listers. It CLAIMS to be using villains that haven't been done before, and too be fair they are, but they're making ALL of them pale imitations of the better known villains!!!!! Anarky? Joker stand-in!!! Magpie? Crazy Catwoman!! Humpty Dumpty? I got a major Mad Hatter vibe with him!! And not to mention Metamorpo. Yes, the SUPERHERO who in his entire run in the comics was NEVER a villain and is simply here to be a Clayface stand in complete with tragic origin.

You see the problem? They have made SO MANY Batman related shows, so close together over the years, that they are unable to come up with new stuff for them so they have basically just done a palette swap when it comes to the villains, threw in a James Bond posing as Alfred, and added Katana for the soul reason of "Why the hell not?"

Now if this was a Batman and The Outsiders show? Like a team show where the focus wasn't squarely on Batman, but instead him leading a team? I'd be more okay with it honestly. It feels like it was MEANT to be one anyway with the inclusion of Katana and now Metamorpho.

Kobra foreshadowing is my guess.

meh gave up on this after episode 5. All the comics related cartoons suck now -_-

This was a step in the right direction. So far these have been pretty lame, but now I have a sliver of hope.

Ugh...I liked Cypher as a villain, using human puppets as both shields and personal bodyguards made things difficult for Batman. But how this episode ended with Katana beating the villain with a kiss? Seriously, I still didn't understand how that beat the guy. Does like he not like cooties or something? I also still don't care for Jason Burr either; he first appeared as a creep who was trying to make moves on Katana, and now Katana is actually considering dating this guy? Wow, her standards for guys must be low... lol

Overall though, aside from those two things, I enjoyed this episode.

Good episode, only 2 more this season, hope it doesn't get canned like the awesome Green Lantern & Young Justice toons did...

Yeah, I didn't get it either, hooray for the power of love... I guess...

Also, I find Burr to be extremely annoying, but the only reason I put up with him is because I think they're gonna eventually introduce Kobra. I know many want a gang war between Whale and some other gangster, but I think it would be way cooler if they did The League of Assasins vs Kobra.

Yea this episode was super light on anything of interest to disscuss or think about. Still I do my best in my review here.

Hopefully this show is building up to the Outsiders

This episode was great. I love how they use lessor known villains. I hope that they do an Outsiders as well.

Anyone else think DC has huge balls using clips of Young Justice between the show and commercials?

I think that's just Cartoon Network being very lazy. :P

It's mean whatever it is.

Awesome! But yeah, the Young Justice stuff in between commercials and show is kind of a big middle fingr to us :-/

There's 17 episodes left this season.

Not a bad episode. Cypher was a pretty cool villain. And I liked Katana here (at least, more than I have in the past). I liked the slow-yet-steady building up of Gordon's and Batman's relationship. The Young Justice clips during the commercial breaks are a bit trying. But at least it's something pretty to look at because BtB animation has not won me over in the slightest. I like that they're introducing a wide variety of villains, but I hope BtB isn't afraid to bring villains back from previous episode. I'm interested in seeing a team-up of sorts between some villains. It'd be an excuse to actually display a bit more of their characters aside for "I'm a villain! *attack*."

Lol batman looks no where near intimidating.
