It's Friday which means it's time to list off some of our favorite covers from this week's new comics releases!
Not everyone is the biggest fan of the romance that is blossoming in JUSTICE LEAGUE, but regardless what you might think of the relationship between Superman and Wonder Woman, you can't deny that the reprint for the JUSTICE LEAGUE #12 cover by Jim Lee is really pretty. We loved the image so much we simply had to post it in our best covers post.

For as long as I can remember one of my favorite comic book series has been MOUSE GUARD, by David Petersen. Not only are the characters in Petersen's stories memorable, but they are always beautifully illustrated. The cover to MOUSE GUARD: THE BLACK AXE #6 is no exception. The cover to the final issue in the miniseries is stunning.
I don't know what it is about the cover to ELRIC: THE BALANCE LOST #12 that I love so much but I think that it's really stunning. The incredible cover by Francesco Mattina looks more like a creepy, gothic painting than it does the cover of a comic book. I also really love the fact that so few colors are used in the picture. Lot's of darkness and shadow highlighted with just a touch of red.
Artist Jae Lee's gorgeous to BEFORE WATCHMEN: OZYMANDIAS #3 is on of the best looking covers of this week's new releases, and you don't even have to be a fan of The Comedian to appreciate it. The artist uses an interesting angle, showcasing the character with his gun pointed downwards. It's definitely unique, and is one of the reasons why we liked it so much.
Rebekah Isaacs' cover for ANGEL AND FATH #14 is really adorable. The artist took a bit of inspiration from The Wizard of Oz and applied characteristics from the classic story to some Buffyverse characters. The result is a sweet cover with gorgeous colors.
These are some of our favorite covers from this week, what are some of yours? Post them in the comments below!
