Best Comic Covers of the Week: 11/30/12

Check out some of this week's best comic covers.

One of the best things about seeing new comics each week are some of the gorgeous covers. There are plenty of great looking comic covers from this week's new releases, and below are some of our favorites. Remember, if we missed any of your favorites, be sure to post them in the thread below.

Rafael Albuquerque delivers a stunning cover to AMERICAN VAMPIRE #33. The artist captures pain in expression as well as bleakness with the choice of colors. We loved the white background and the red music notes.

Two of the covers to the first issue of MASKS was absolutely stunning. Both covers feature all the characters that appear in the issue and star many of the pulpy characters published at Dynamite Entertainment. Both Francesco Francavilla and Alex Ross illustrate two truly beautiful comic covers.

This month's cover to BATMAN INCORPORATED features Damian as Batman getting ready to take on a mob of monsters amidst a burning Arkham Asylum. The image is great because it encompasses the events that take place in the issue. The cover gives us a look at Batman standing

Artist Jae Lee's OZYMANDIAS #4 is very stylized and stoic; it's a really lovely cover and definitely inviting.

Francesco Francavilla makes our list twice this week with a stunning cover to CAPTAIN AMERICA AND BLACK WIDOW #639. The cover is elaborately illustrated and the inking is really well done.

The Art Adams cover to FF #1 is just beautiful. Not only is it really detailed and very pretty, but it's a great homage to FANTASTIC FOUR #1 from the series' first volume.

Dave Johnson's cover to ULTIMATE COMICS X-MEN #19 is really beautiful. It's a pretty powerful, albeit simple image that gives the cover a very painted look.

These were some of our favorite comic covers for this week, what were yours?

Totally agree with Nowhere Men, I loved that cover.

Not sure how neither cover for Thor God of Thunder has made it into these lists.

Ribic has been doing wonders for this book.

So many great covers, but for me it has to be Masks #1, hand's down. Nobody beats Alex Ross, nobody...

The Alex Ross cover to Masks is great (as are his interiors), but the Jae Lee cover also deserves to be mentioned. I prefer it much more than the Francovilla cover.

I hadn't even seen that Art Adams FF cover before. It looks terrific and I love the throwback to Fantastic Four's first volume.

The Aquaman one is the best for me.

The Art Adams FF was the best. So much personality, a great homage, and fabulous composition.
