Happy 4th of July to all our American readers out there! Hope you guys had a safe and super-fun holiday. Now that the party's over, it's time to figure out what some of the coolest covers appeared at your local comic book stores in the past week.
X-MEN LEGACY #13 is first up. This book, month after month, has some of the coolest looking covers. Michael Del Mundo provided this month's cover for the book. All of his covers have been really cool and stand-outs on the shelves. It's a cover that gets you interested about the issue's contents.
Next up, we have AVENGERS A.I. #1. Obviously, 8-bit covers catch a few of the staff's eye (mainly GMan and myself). Matthew Waite, who also provided some of the Valiant variant covers in the past month, gives a glimpse at some of the characters in this book is a MegaMan style.
Here we have IRON MAN #12 by Greg Land and Guru Efx. It's an eye popping piece, and who doesn't love a little rainbow action on their cover? There's also nothing better than a possibly drunk Tony Stark eyeing you before you read a comic.
This week, a new series started called TRINITY OF SIN PANDORA. This cover, in particular, was drawn by Ryan Sook. I loved seeing all the characters in the background here, and Pandora looks pretty awesome. This cover has a fantastic layout.
To close out this week, we have THIEF OF THIEVES #15. This month's cover was drawn by Shawn Martinbrough. I love the perspective here, and it's incredibly cool looking. It gives a good idea of the contents within the issue, and who doesn't love a comic with a bunch of people holding briefcases on the cover?
Well, that's it for this week! See you guys next Friday! What covers did you guys love this week?
