Welcome back to another edition of Best Comic Book Covers of the Week where the Comic Vine staff picks out some of their favorite covers that came out the previous Wednesday and presents them in a nice little package for you. Also, we ask our followers on Twitter what their favorite covers are as well. Let's get right down to business.
2000 AD #1884 by Neil Roberts
First up is 2000 AD #1884 by Neil Roberts. If you like epic covers, then you're in luck. Roberts gives readers a man in a giant mech blasting away at everything in his path. While the art here is very cool, the color work on this cover is what makes it so cool.
BLACK WIDOW #7 by Phil Noto
Next is BLACK WIDOW #7 by Phil Noto. What really makes this such a cool cover is the way Noto presents the colors. Everything is blue, except for Black Widow, who is the stand-out part of this piece.
BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA #1 by Terry Dodson
Here is BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA #1 by Terry Dodson. This cover really captures the whole feel and tone of the book and Dodson always creates some very cool looking covers. The look on Jack Burton's face is awesome.
RAI #2 by Raul Allen
The next cover on our list is RAI #2 by Raul Allen. What's exciting this cover for Valiant's RAI is that the art consists on one half of the page and it feels more like an iconic scene rather than a cover.
CYCLOPS #2 by John Tyler Christopher
Finally, here's CYCLOPS #2 by John Tyler Christopher. This is a pretty straightforward cover at first glance but there's a lot to look at here. The choice to have this mostly be black and white was really cool as well.
Here's what you folks picked on Twitter this week.
CYCLOPS #2 by Alexander Lozano
Your pick was CYCLOPS #2 by Alexander Lozano. This is a pretty awesome piece that shows both father and son kicking some butt. The colors and the page set-up are very pleasing and it's no wonder you guys picked this one.
That's it for another weekly adventure with the best comic book covers of the week, we'll see you guys next week with a whole new batch of covers. Do you have a cover you simply love that we missed? Let us know in the comment section below! Also, make sure to check us out on Twitter to get your Twit-picks in for next week using #CVCovers, which we did not get a chance to do this week.
