Hopefully, you all have your Christmas shopping finished. Are you tired? Do you need a break? Well, Christmas has come early for you guys as we present to you the Best Comic Book Covers of the Week! Yeah, I know you get this every single week, so it's not really a present, but let's pretend this is new and exciting, just this one time. Every week the Comic Vine staff comes together in an 76' VW Bug and discusses the best covers while listening to a Steely Dan 8-track. This week, we got some rad ones for you. Let's check them out.
UNCANNY AVENGERS #15 by Steve McNiven
First cover on our list this week is for UNCANNY AVENGERS #15 by Steve McNiven. This extremely epic cover gives us a battle damaged Captain America giving it all he's got. The amount of detail McNiven throws into this cover is nuts! Love the whole set up and the struggle you can read on his face as well.
ETERNAL WARRIOR #4 by Lewis LaRosa
Here we have the cover to ETERNAL WARRIOR #4 by Lewis LaRosa. This is a pretty startling cover as the blood-covered Eternal Warrior stares the reader right in the face. We love the expression on his face. One thing we really thought was cool was all the line work for the beard on Eternal Warrior.
FF #15 by Mike and Laura Allred
It wouldn't be a best covers list without seeing some art from the Allreds, would it? This is FF #15 by Mike Allred and Laura Allred. Doctor Doom shows what makes him a successful villain here by beating the heck out of the Future Foundation. Laura's color work here is beautiful and the lay out is super cool.
WONDER WOMAN #26 by Cliff Chiang
Up next, here's WONDER WOMAN #26 by Cliff Chiang. This is one of my personal favorite covers of this past week. The set up is so cool with Wonder Woman's outline containing the cover image. Everything about Chiang's art here shines on this cover from the line work to the colors here.
TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES #29 by Ross Campbell
The next cover on our list is TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES #29 by Ross Campbell. This cover says so much about the series and its characters, especially after the conclusion of City Fall. The colors here are beautiful. The perspective here is great and again, it says a lot about what Leonardo is going through.
PRETTY DEADLY #3 by Emma Rios and Jordie Bellaire
Lastly, we have PRETTY DEADLY #3 by Emma Rios and Jordie Bellaire. Once again, Rios and Bellaire put together a remarkable cover for this series. In addition, this a wrap around cover as well (check it out here). Bellaire's colors shine here along with Rios' layout. This book is three for three on covers.
That does it for another week of awesome comic book covers! Did you love a cover this week that we didn't put in this list? Then make sure to let us know in the comment section below!
