It's time to see what the Comic Vine staff thought were the coolest and most amazing covers of the week! Last week was a monster of a week because we couldn't decide on a limited amount of cool covers, so we threw most of them in. This week, we're back to normal and found a small handful of covers we really loved. Let's get down to business!
AQUAMAN #27 by Paul Pelletier and Sean Parsons
First up, this week, we have AQUAMAN #27 by Paul Pelletier and Sean Parsons. We love how this cover show the size difference between Aquaman and the Karaqan. Aquaman is engulfed by this beast, with the city in the background.
BLACK SCIENCE #3 by Matteo Scalera & Dean White
Next, we have BLACK SCIENCE #3 by Matteo Scalera and Dean White. Sure, a portion of this cover is taken up by the title banner on the left, but Scalera's art is immensely beautiful to look at and his covers for this series have been incredibly intriguing. There's a lot packed into this small area, so you can spend a lot more time finding little things to stare at on this cover.
GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY #11 by Dale Keown & Jason Keith
Here we have GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY #11 by Dale Keown and Jason Keith. GotG had a few covers this week, but this one came off as the coolest one for us. The shading and colors look fantastic here, thanks to Keith's colors. And who doesn't enjoy a screaming Rocket Raccoon on their cover?
THOR: GOD OF THUNDER #18 by Esad Ribic
Up next is THOR: GOD OF THUNDER #18 by Esad Ribic. The only way to describe Ribic's art here is "epic." Every month, this artist puts out some phenomenal covers. The shading and color blending are really cool and we love how this cover makes you feel like you're right there, in this moment.
CLONE #14 by Juan Jose Ryp
Lastly, we have CLONE #14 by Juan Jose Ryp. CLONE has a lot of very interesting covers. Ryp does some extremely cool things with them. Here, we see the female clones, and what's interesting to look at are the subtle differences in the hair and outfits. These women look incredibly tough and stoic and the layout is extremely pleasing to the eye.
That does it for another Best Covers! Don't see a cover that you thought was super awesome? Put it in the comments below, and we'll see you next week.
