It's that time of the week. Time to look at the latest edition of Best Battles in New Comics. Comics often feature big battles with superheroes fighting supervillains. Sometimes we even have superheroes fighting other superheroes. Get ready to cheer and possibly cringe at the brutal punches being thrown.
There were so many good fights this week. It was tough to narrow it down to just three...
OLD MAN LOGAN #1
After the events of the original Old Man Logan, Wolverine decided he couldn't hide from his responsibilities as a 'hero' any longer. Making his way into a den of evil where the leader, calling taking the former identity of Gladiator, Wolverine decides it's time to stop them "stealin' and sellin' kids." The leader doesn't react too kindly.
Of course Wolverine's time of not unleashing his claws has ended. This guy finds out first hand.
That isn't the end of it. There is a room full of armed lowlife for Logan to deal with. Leave it to Andrea Sorrentino to depict every painful detail.
Unfortunately one of the thugs is able to get past Logan's claws and shove him out the window. Logan falls and smashes on top of an SUV. Is this finally the end of Old Man Logan? What do you think? He gets up and heads back for more.
You'll want to see how the rest goes for yourself.
DEADLY CLASS #13
Imagine having your family killed in front of you and then being forced to live with the killer and his family as a sign of "mercy." That's what life was like for Maria. She started her revenge by killing her boyfriend, Chico, who was the son of the killer who happens to be the "most violent cartel boss in Mexico."
Maria may have been captured last issue but she is far from helpless. She manages to put up a good fight against all the Cartel men. After all, she has been thinking about this and likely planning for it for a long long time.
After the chaos dies down, is there anyone left standing?
All we'll say is this is NOT the end of the story. There's plenty of craziness that happens after this scene.
ALL-NEW HAWKEYE #3
Hawkeye and Hawkeye (I guess we should say Clint and Kate) just completed a mission for S.H.I.E.L.D. Apparently no one really knew the mission involved retrieving kids that had been experimented on resulting in deadly and devastating results. S.H.I.E.L.D. sees them as dangerous but Kate won't stand for them being locked one with HYDRA only to remain locked up and examined by S.H.I.E.L.D.
Clint, for the most part, stays back. He just sets off a trick arrow at a distraction and lets Kate do her thing.
What we can learn here is, you don't mess with Kate. After all this, will they cooperate with her and let the kids go?
They try to fight it. Kate points out that even after all that, they still don't realize how dangerous she is.
We'd show you what happens next but we're out of time.
We also had BATMAN 66 suggested by @Thekidfliessolo and SECRET WARS 2099 #1 suggested by @scoobyxsnaps and @WatcherMarShar.
