This week, we're featuring fights from SECRET WARS #7, DARKSEID WAR: GREEN LANTERN #1, and BIRTHRIGHT #11.

It's that time of the week. Time to look at the latest edition of Best Battles in New Comics. Comics often feature big battles with superheroes fighting supervillains. Sometimes we even have superheroes fighting other superheroes. Get ready to cheer and possibly cringe at the brutal punches being thrown.

There will be some spoilers below!

SECRET WARS #7

(By Jonathan Hickman, Esad Ribic, and Ive Svorcina)

A fight has begun. Armies are marching towards Doom to renounce him as their god. It's gotten so bad, even the heroes find themselves fighting alongside barons such as Mr. Sinister. But it doesn't last too long.

First he survives an explosion, then he gets his head chopped off, just because Apocalypse wants to talk to him.

Doom had called his Thors except some of them have seen the light as well and are now fighting against him.

If all that wasn't bad enough, the fighting is about to get a lot messier as a helicarrier full of Hulks has arrived.

You should see the army assembled at the end. For a book with "Wars" in the title, it's now living up to that.

THE DARKSEID WAR: GREEN LANTERN #1

(By Tom King, Doc Shaner, and Chris Sotomayor)

Hal Jordan has found himself racing back to Oa. Because of the death of Darkseid, his Parademons have attacked the Green Lantern Corps in order to get to the Central Power Battery. A Mother Box has sensed the power of the Battery and now Hal has to fight through a bunch of Parademons to get to it.

He's extremely outnumbered but do you think that's going to stop him?

Hal is all about will power. He's not going to give up. He'll defeat them all or die trying.

Well...I guess that's the end of Hal and the issue.

Actually, there's more to the story than that. Things get even crazier from here. Seriously, buy the issue if you haven't already.

BIRTHRIGHT #11

(By Joshua Williamson, Andrei Bressan, and Adriano Lucas)

We get to see more of Mikey when he was a kid. When they reach a town, he discovers that a family's daughter had been taken for a sacrifice by Kallista. He wants to help even though Rook shoots down his idea. So of course he's going to go off to the Screaming Skull Island on his own. Not only does he find Kallista, but also plenty of other creatures he'll have to fight.

Their screams are deafening but Mikey has no choice but to fight. It's not just his life at stake.

It seems like it's too many. He keeps fighting until...

What happens next? Are there more? What happens if he does manage to save this girl? What consequences will there be? You'll have to keep reading the series to find out.
