Best Battles in New Comics: 10/30/15

This week, we're featuring fights from HOWLING COMMANDOS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. #1, BATMAN AND ROBIN ETERNAL #4, and TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES #51.

It's that time of the week. Time to look at the latest edition of Best Battles in New Comics. Comics often feature big battles with superheroes fighting supervillains. Sometimes we even have superheroes fighting other superheroes. Get ready to cheer and possibly cringe at the brutal punches being thrown.

There will be some spoilers below!

HOWLING COMMANDOS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. #1

(By Frank J. Barbiere, Brent Schoonover, and Nick Filardi)

This isn't your dad's Howling Commandos. A new team has been formed. They're a little on the monstrous side. When an old idol has been stolen that has the ability to transmute living tissue into plant matter, it's obvious the higher ups wouldn't want to send in their regular agents. The Howling Commandos take on the mission with style.

You can see they have no problem taking on these infected people.

Now we can assume that once they're infected there's maybe no going back? We hope so because the Howling Commandos don't hold back. We see that Manphibian is making sure no one gets away to infect others.

Even the smallest member of the team, Hit-Monkey, is unleashing his fury upon everyone.

And because they're dealing with plant matter that's getting out of control, why not call in their expert, Man-Thing. Check out how he and Hit-Monkey get along.

Such good times contained in this single issue.

BATMAN AND ROBIN ETERNAL #4

(By James Tynion IV, Scott Snyder, Steve Orlando, Scot Eaton, Wayne Faucher, and Gabe Eltaeb)

Poor Bruce Wayne. He's being attacked and has no idea why or what's going on since his brain has kind of been rewritten and he has no memories of being Batman. Luckily Dick Grayson is there to help out. Anything is a weapon, even a blade and a hunk of cheese.

Because this is Gotham City, Dick doesn't have to fight this crazed mob alone. The We Are Robin kids are on hand as well. They too grab whatever they can to create weapons.

Guess what? They're not the only ones to join in on the fun. Check it out, here comes Batgirl.

You're probably saying, wasn't Dick the one that started all this? Well, he didn't start the fight but was the one that started the protecting of Bruce. It looks like he's had all the fun taken away. That's not the case. He has his share of bad guys to hit or kick.

And of course this is all just a small part of the issue. We didn't even mention what Cassandra Cain is up to. But you'll have to buy the issue to see about that.

TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES #51

(By Kevin Eastman, Bobby Curnow, Tom Waltz, Ken Garing, and Ronda Pattison)

Hopefully you've been reading TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES. If not, hopefully you noticed our note at the beginning about possible spoilers. After the craziness of the previous arc which culminated in issue #50, Master Splinter and the Turtles are now in charge of the Foot Clan. Trust us, you need to read those issues.

As they're staking out a suspicious looking place, Raphael gets a little bored and rushes in.

They finally enter the place and find there's a small army of thugs in there with machine guns. Might seem like a problem but not for the Turtles. Especially if they have the Foot Clan with them to back them up.

Even though they don't need the Foot Clan's help, it still looks cool.

But as cool as the fight is, there is a time to put things to an end.

It's too bad for the Turtles that there's something bigger brewing unbeknownst to them. They better watch their backs.
