It's that time of the week. Time to look at the latest edition of Best Battles in New Comics. Comics often feature big battles with superheroes fighting supervillains. Sometimes we even have superheroes fighting other superheroes. Get ready to cheer and possibly cringe at the brutal punches being thrown.

AGE OF APOCALYPSE #5

The mutants have a bit of a problem. They're facing this reality's version of Dr. Nemesis. What makes it bad is he's absorbed the powers of over three hundred mutants.
Luckily he's not completely in control of the powers. It's a lot to take in. Also, he's a little arrogant with all the power. Rather than immediately wipe out all the X-Men, he's zipping in and out to make sure everyone sees him with all these powers.
But then he pops in and he uses Hank McCoy as an example.
Emma Frost is able to read his mind before he dies in order for her to gain all his knowledge. Reluctantly teaming up with Sinister and performing a little brain surgery, they're able to get Jean Grey back on her feet.
Nemesis won't be quite ready for this.
Is it a good thing that Jean's been brought back with all this power? You'll have to read to find out what happens next.
JOURNEY TO STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS - SHATTERED EMPIRE #4

Luke Skywalker and Shara Bey are on a pretty important mission. She poses as an Imperial and Luke as her bodyguard. Unfortunately, they're soon discovered.
They dive into action. The items they're there for are gathered as the Stormtroopers prepare to blast away at them.
This just means Luke gets to get all fancy using his Jedi skills against them. With Checcheto's art, it's a pretty sight. But then, some Stormtroopers decides to throw some thermal detonators at them.
You probably can figure out what's going to happen next. Hopefully you didn't say he'd just slice them with his lightsaber. Not sure if that would be a good idea. He just uses the Force.
What a sight.
THE PAYBACKS #2
(By Donny Cates, Eliot Rahal, Geoff Shaw, and Lauren Affe)
The Paybacks' job is to repo things from superheroes or vigilantes. You can imagine, it's not the easiest or safest job to have. As the group goes on their latest assignment, they didn't realize someone would be "home."
With the Paybacks discovered, we're going to get a good old fashioned fight as the items to be repossessed are being guarded.
With the fight getting out of hand, Emory decides to take a direct approach with High Guard. She might be a little outmatched. But as team leader, she might have a trick or two up her sleeve to solve this whole mess.
FABLES: THE WOLF AMONG US Chapter 45
(By Dave Justus, Matthew Sturges, Travis Moore, and Lee Loughridge)
Bigby Wolf is about to confront Bloody Mary.
As someone that comes out of the mirror if you say her name three times, you can imagine fighting her wouldn't be the easiest thing to do. Lucky for Bigby, he has his big old wolf form to fight in.
It's a pretty brutal fight. These two are not holding back. It doesn't matter how many he takes out since there are so many reflections of her coming at him. As the Big Bad Wolf, he can always huff and puff his problems away.
But this is Bloody Mary we're talking about. A big gust of wind isn't going to take her out.
She keeps coming at him so the fight will have to continue.
