Everyone loves zombies, right? No, seriously. If I can start appreciating the concept of walking dead then everyone can- especially if they have read The Walking Dead. The graphic novel series which showcases zombies crawling all over Atlanta, Georgia and feeding on human flesh might be disgusting- but it is far from being what the story is all about. This zombie literary masterpiece is more a story about the human condition, and the fight to persevere through extinction than it is about the epidemic itself. It is a story where the reader will slowly grow to learn and appreciate the characters and the everyday decisions they are faced with- and is one show I absolutely cannot wait to watch this fall. And I don't even really like TV!
As we've been discussing the last couple of months, AMC is adapting Robert Kirkman's The Walking Dead starting this Halloween, and t hey have been really good about giving behind the scenes footage of the set and the show's characters as well as character studies from the actors. In the recent video clip, the show's Director and actors discuss what they feel are the most compelling aspects of the television series, and how the vision for the show is so closely aligned with Robert Kirkman's graphic novel. Check it out above!
Are the clips selling you on this brand new series as much as they are me? If you are a fan of Kirkman's The Walking Dead, do you feel there are concepts that are crucial to the success of the television series? Things they absolutely should not change?
