i' d like to see marvel make a Spider-man Reign animated movie as a response to this.

I think it would be cool if they changed Carrie Kelly to Robin John Blake....

If this ever becomes a live action movie, Old Bruce chould be played by Clint Eastwood.

I loved the Dark Knight Returns graphic novel and I have to say, this got me more excited to see the adaptation than the trailers did for the Dark Knight Rises.

Finally i can understand the story better as i can't read TDKReturns.

Looking forward to this! Can't wait.

Looks cool, i like the voice actors. the animation style is different, but i believe that it will be good.

Ehhh...I'm not too big on the man who played Robocop voicing the Dark Knight. Should be Kevin Conroy I say. Other than that, this looks awesome!

I'd be fine if they kept the story the way it is because thats how the comic was but I"m with you on the superman looking like an idiot thing. That was my only problem ever with The Dark Knight Returns. Batman respects Superman and sees him as a friend and equal, but in this suddenly Superman is an idiot and Batman claims he's a coward.

Actually looks awesome but i'm not to keen on seeing Superman look like a fool. The cover art looks great as well.

They did change some of the dialogue tho. He doesn't say he's not finished yet in the mud pit, he says "Show me."

@OracleX: I agree, I wish this had the more grainy look that the comic had. But like you said the story will be accurate especially if it's released in 2 parts, and I like the voice actors they chose.

Can we get some animated movies of other characters besides Superman & Batman.

How about Flash, Aquaman, Green Arrow, Zatanna, Hawkman, Sgt. Rock, Captain Marvel & even a Titans one with Nightwing, Flash (Wally West), Red Arrow & Donna Troy along with Cyborg, Beast boy, Starfire & Raven.

Even a Legion of Doom/Secret Society of Super Villains would be interesting.

That looks pretty damn good.

It just cracks me up that aside from Nolan's Batman trilogy, Marvel has been pretty much dominating DC in the live action big screen market, but DC has been kicking ass and taking names in the straight to DVD animated features department. This film looks like yet another masterpiece I can't wait to add to my collection! Definitely going to be a release day buy for me!

This looks really good, actually. Though I still feel they should've just made it one movie.

I understand that the money players are Bats and the Justice League with Superman in third, but c'mon, Flashpoint will be the first for the Flash, WW had one, GL had two. I would honestly love to see the JLI version of Matteis and Griffen and Maguire. The Omac Project would be epic as well starting with Beetle's death down to Diana breaking Max's neck. A Nightwing one can't be discounted, as well as a Suicide Squad (Simone), Wonder Woman Odyssey, Birds Of Prey, a Swamp Thing / Animal Man short, story about the Hawks and maybe the Rann/Thanagar War.

I love Kevin conroys batman voice but it's not a requirement for me to enjoy an animated batman movie, but for the love of gawd robocops voice is just god awful in this role, He sounds like zoidberg after he took a few muscle relaxers.

I can't believe it! I am so excited for this!!! Screw August, lets just skip it and get to September!

I have been saying forever that they need to make multi-part films (that or go balls out and make one 3 hour DVD, whichever).

Some of the past DVDs really suffered for being limited to 90 minutes or so. This way, they can truly tell an epic tale.

I do wish they would intertwine a couple of more 'original' films inbetween the one based on existing stories. The Batman and Green Lantern DVDs that were anthologies and companions to the live action films were actually very well done.
