Many of you heard about this last year when there were mublings about it coming from DC, but now, it's official. According to DC, Batman Beyond will be back this June with his own 6 issue mini-series written by Adam Beechen. The original cartoon took place in the future, when Bruce Wayne was too old to be Batman anymore. A local ragamuffin, Terry McGinnis, broke into the Wayne manor and found the suit. After lots of begging, he became the future Batman, and beat up a whole new generation of villains, including splicers. (People who splice their DNA with animals.)
Adam Beechen had this to say about the new series:
Someone from Batman's past? Who could it be? Probably not the Joker, since he was already covered in Return of the Joker. Most likely it also won't be Mr Freeze or Bane since they were both featured in early episodes, so who could it be?
