New York Comic Con is happening in October and Square Enix has announced a limited edition version of their Play Arts Kai Arkham Knight action figure.
It looks similar to the previously released version except it's a limited color edition. They've highlighted the fine details with metallic paintwork in bright blue and burnished silver. It was created and designed in collaboration with Warner Bros. Consumer Products on behalf of DC Entertainment. It will be available for purchase exclusively at the show at the Square Enix booth (#1604).
A symbolic letter “A” emblazoned on his chest, mechanical armor, army fatigues - this figure shows off a wide range of different realistic textures. During sculpting we paid special attention to keeping a sharp silhouette all around. His helmet, that looks very similar to that of the BATMAN, has a translucent visor. There are two interchangeable helmet pieces: one to recreate his default appearance, and a second one painted so as to give off a glowing eye effect. Other accessories include: a sniper rifle, two handguns, and three interchangeable hands to allow for a variety of action poses.
The good news is, if you can't make it to the show, you can also order it through the SQUARE ENIX Online Store HERE.
The bad news is the figure pre-ordered online is not available for onsite pick up at NYCC 2015. It will ship to the address you provide on November 30, 2015. So you have to decide to try getting it there or ordering online to guarantee one and wait until the end of November to get it.
The figure stands at about eleven inches and includes a stand and the items seen above. The price is $99.99, which is pretty much the same as the regular version. This is just comes in a more limited quantity.
