Each week we take a look at different comic book collectibles. We don't just look at it, we take them out of the package and take a close look at them. We put them through the test to see just how cool they really are. Often they turn out cool out of the package.
While we usually at action figures, we have taken a look at statues before. This week we're looking at a WATCHMEN statue from DC Entertainment.
There are four different statues planned. Rorschach is already available. Comedian begins shipping on November 30. Dr. Manhattan ship on 12/10 and Silk Spectre on 2/28/13.
There is some assembly required. Not much.
Rorschach was a great choice to start off the line. As for the assembly, all you have to do is put in on his base.
The statue stands 10" tall. The price is $149.95. It might sound like a lot, but we are talking about a statue. Actually, it's a highly detailed statue. This is something you'd be proud to have on display. Check out how much detail they put into this sculpt.
Another cool thing is the base he stands on. It's simply but the statue does look like the paint is fresh. And his name is also simply yet elegant.
What I really like is that with the statue being 10" tall, it's not overly wide. It will fit nicely on your desk or wherever you display these sorts of statues.
