Each week we pick out a cool comic book collectible and tear it free from the packaging to get a closer look at it. Last week we looked at the Marvel Select Chitauri Footsoldier from The Avengers. This week we're going to look at Iron Man and the man beneath the armor, Tony Stark.
If you're going to have Avengers figures, of course you have to have Iron Man. If you've been collecting Marvel Select figures, chances are you might already have an Iron Man one. This is the Mark VI armor.
As usual, Marvel Select presents the figure in a big package which features art from the movie.
So you can see the back shows Iron Man with his visor down but you have the option of snapping it in either position. Let's find out how this figure stands outside of the packaging.== TEASER ==
There is a good amount of detail here. You have two sets of hands which let's him have either fists or opened hands. There are also some movable parts in the armor.
It's hard to decide if he looks better with the visor up or down. And check out the detail on the boots.
The Marvel Select figures tend to be solid figures. It's nice having a figure that can actually stand on its own. There's nothing worse than trying to make a figure stand and the slightest movement causes it fall over. There is a good amount of articulation.
The figure also comes with a stand/background that let's you easily put him on display.
That's it for this week. Next week is New York Comic Con. We'll see what other collectibles we can find there.
