I seem to have a love/hate relationship with LEGO. I love all the product they put out but I hate what it does to my wallet. At least I'm usually able to show some restraint. In other words, you can expect to see some more LEGO 'hands on' looks in the weeks to come.
This week, it's time to check out some more Marvel LEGO. We've already seen the Avengers - Hulk's Helicarrier Breakout and the Avengers Quinjet Aerial Battle & Captain America's Cycle. Now we're going to check out the LEGO version of the X-Men.
It's not really the X-Men. It does include Wolverine. Magneto is an X-Man now as well. Deadpool? Who cares as long as we get a LEGO Deadpool.
Let's be honest, we'll all be getting this just to get our hands on these three LEGO characters. The helicopter is pretty cool. But it is just a LEGO helicopter with missiles. And there's the motorcycle. I know have three including Captain America's and Catwoman's.
The retail price is about $20. At 201 pieces, it won't take much time to assemble it all.
And there is another mini comic included. It's not much of an actual comic. Perhaps someday we'll actually see longer LEGO superhero comics.
But we all really want to see the LEGO in 'action,' right?
You can see the helicopter is pretty cool. But Wolverine isn't going to care how cool it is. Even if it has a place to put both of Deadpool's swords. Woverine hates Deadpool and a helicopter isn't going to get in the way of that hate.
The nice thing about LEGO figures is you can pull off their hands. Makes it easy to reenact battle scenes between Logan and Wade.
Of course Deadpool could just re-grow his hand (or at least he could before recent events in his comic).
What about Magneto? He's not going to let this little spat get in the way of his time in the spotlight.
So it's a cool set. It's not expensive when you compare it to other sets. As you can see, there's a lot you can do. But let's take a final closer look at everyone. Each figure, except Deadpool, comes with two facial expressions.
That's it for this week. I haven't decided yet but there might be some more LEGO next week. There hasn't been a lot of regular cool action figures being released. I still have a couple other LEGO sets to build and showcase. We'll see what happens during the week.
