Each week we take a close look at comic book collectibles. That means we take some collectibles, open up the packaging and check out what they're like free from their boxes.
With the New 52 into its second year, we're seeing more of the Justice League figures being released by DC Collectibles. We've already looked at the Batman figure as well as the Aquaman figure. This week we're going to take a look at two more members: Hal Jordan and Barry Allen.
The boxes have the same minimalist design as the other figures with their corresponding color. You might be tempted to leave them in their boxes except both seem to have their arms raised kind of high. It's just not a natural 'superhero' stance.
The back shows the other figures coming. We'll see if they end up getting featured here as well.
As we take them out, we'll start out with Hal Jordan since he was released first.
You can see Hal looks pretty impressive and seems to be made for posing. Of course since he's sharing this post with Barry Allen, he doesn't really have the patience to let Hal get all of the time in the spotlight.
I do have to say, the more I look at these figures, the more I like the 'armored' costume look they all have.
They both have a good amount of articulation. You can put them into different poses and they stand on their own with no problems. One of the worst things about figures (besides them looking bad) is when they can't even stand without leaning against something. I really like the expressions on their faces. Just giving a slight reposition of their heads changes the way they look.
The cool thing about this line of figures is getting more than one and posing them together.
And here's the gang all assembled so far.
That's it for this week. Be sure to look for the next installment to see what collectibles we take a look at next.
