Awesome Art Picks: The Shadow, Wolverine, Wonder Woman and More

The coolest comic book art you won't see in comics?

Every week we gather up the best comic book art that won't appear in actual comics. The reason they won't is because artists often do sketches for fun or commissions and post them on their websites, blogs and Tumblrs. Some artists even arrange commissions or sell art on their sites so be sure to check them out.

Rod Reis posted this amazing pic of The Shadow on his Tumblr this week.

Gabriel Hardman posted his Hero Initiative X-MEN #12 100 Project cover on his blog.

Check out this warm up sketch Ryan Ottley posted on his Tumblr along with a sketch of Lobo.

Phil Jimenez was talking about Wonder Woman and was inspired to draw this quick sketch, which he posted on his Twitter page.

Brett Booth posted a bunch of sketches on his blog. You can see some character designs he did before along with the sketch covers to his FLASH and FLASH ANNUAL on sale in April.

Chris Giarrusso posted some Mini-Marvels art on his website.

Ryan Stegman posted a few sketches on his Tumblr we can most likely see completed in the pages of WOLVERINE. The first issue is on sale next week.

Yildiray Cinar posted a couple sketches on his Instagram this week.

Mike Deodato posted this Batman sketch on his Tumblr.

Have you listened to last week's Invincibly Super Massive Comic Book Podast of Stuff with Todd Nauck? Here's a couple sketches he posted on his Tumblr.

Tim Seeley decided to draw this Batman sketch and posted it on Twitter. It's available for purchase HERE.

Joel Gomez posted some more sketch cards and covers on his Tumblr.

Skottie Young posted another Harry Potter pic on his website along with a Cable Daily Sketch.

Gene Gonzales posted this Lady Blackhawk sketch on his blog.

Artists often get...interesting requests. Daniel HDR posted this "Spider-Beetle" commission on his Tumblr.

Marcio Takara has started doing sketches for Emerald City Comicon. Check out his Tumblr for more information on getting one for yourself.

That's it for this week. Let us know what you thought of these picks. We'll have more art in the next installment.
