Every week we gather up the best and coolest comic book art that you won't ever see in actual comics. The reason you won't is because artists often do sketches and commissions and post them on their Tumblrs, blogs and websites. Some artists even arrange commissions through their sites so be sure to check them out for more information.
This week we had Sean Murphy on the Super Massive Podcast. Here's a Wonder Woman/Batman commission posted on his Deviant Art page.
Ryan Stegman posted some sketches he did at Cincinnati Comicon on his Tumblr.
Mahmud Asrar posted some more pre-NYCC commissions on his Tumblr.
Marcio Takara is also continuing to pump out his pre-NYCC commissions. Check out the latest ones posted on his Tumblr. He had several ask and he's decided to turn the Stephanie Brown pic into a print. And Check out the update to his Jean Grey we saw last week.
Joel Gomez posted some recent commissions on his Tumblr.
In honor of Villains Month and FOREVER EVIL, Brett Booth posted this sketch of Owlman on his blog.
One of the cool things about the artists' sites is seeing their work-in-progress pieces. Here's some Daniel HDR has been working on for NYCC, posted on his Tumblr.
Freddie Williams II posted another sketch he did for an auction on his TwitPic page. I believe we may have seen this sketch before but now you can own it. You can check out the auction HERE.
Francesco Francavilla has been posting some sketches from AFTERLIFE WITH ARCHIE on his Twitter. I'm torn whether I want to see them in black-and-white or color more.
Michael Walsh has a comic written by Ales Kot coming out next week from Image, ZERO. He's also working on THE X-FILES SEASON 10 and drew this Flukeman sketch (and the Ninja Turtles) on his Tumblr.
Chris Giarrusso posted a couple team-up sketches on his website. They're available for purchase as well.
Clay Mann posted this Ultimates pic on his Tumblr.
Todd Nauck posted some new art on his Instagram this week.
Check out Robert Atkins take on Starfire, Venom, Witchblad and Storm. Starfire was colored by Simon Gough. He also posted another great Baroness pic.
Yildiray Cinar posted this Shazam pic (in different stages) on his Instagram. He also posted a Psylocke and Supergirl.
That's it for this week. Some of the usual artists didn't update their sites. If you're aware of an artist's site where they upload new art and sketches, feel free to let me know.
