It's time once again for some of the best comic book art that isn't found in actual comic books. While comic artists have their regular assignments, sometimes they just like to draw for the fun of it. Whether it's at conventions or on their personal blogs or Tumblr pages. It's been a crazy week with Labor Day on Monday and the Big Live Live Show yesterday. It must have been a busy week for artists as well since some of the regulars often seen here haven't updated their pages.
Skottie Young has been continuing his Daily Doodles. Once he posts them on his website, they're available for purchase. Here's a hint, they sell quickly. He started the week out with this rendition of X-23.
He also posted these sketches of Storm and Typhoid Mary.
== TEASER ==Joel Gomez has been busy this week. Check out his Hellboy, Big Barda and Etrigan.
X-Men: First Class came out on Blu-ray yesterday. Here's a picture of Magneto by Peter Nguyen.
Who likes He-Man? Eric Powell did this cool piece and put it up on ebay. It turns out someone really does like He-Man as this piece sold for $1,500 yesterday.
Paolo Rivera has been busy working on Daredevil and actually went on a vacation this week. He posted this pretty cool Daredevil/Matt Murdock sketch.
He also did this Apocalypse commission he did at Megacon this year.
How about some Wonder Woman art? I just came across Wonder Woman of the Day, which has art up for auction. The proceeds go to raise money for domestic violence (and by for, obviously that means against).
The first is by Nicola Scott, upcoming artist on the JSA book early next year.
Here's one by Gerald Parel. Check out the site for others and maybe you could bid on something.
Aquaman's new series is coming out on September 28. Check out Agnes Garbowska's version of Aquaman and Mera.
And finally, Francesco Francavilla is continuing his sketches based on the new Doctor Who episodes. Here is his 30 minute poster based inspired the Night Terrors episode.
That wraps up this week's edition. Be sure to check out the next installment next week.
