Each week we search high and low across every corner of the internet in search of the coolest comic art around. Artists often post sketches and commissions on their Twitters, blogs and Tumblrs. It gives the artists a chance to draw characters they might not normally get the chance to on their current assignments. It's all simply too good to go unnoticed.
We'll start out this week with a piece by Phil Noto. He often posts 'scenes' with different characters on his Tumblr. Check out this image of Matt Murdock (aka Daredevil) and Elektra Natchios in Malta, 1983.
Marcus To is going to be at the Toronto Comicon this weekend. If you're lucky, you might be able to score a commission from him. Check out his Colossus, Jean Grey and Jason Todd posted on his Tumblr.
Speaking of commissions, Paolo Rivera often posts past commissions on his website. Check out his Captain America and Queen of the Night.
Dustin Nguyen often posts some fun pieces on his Tumblr. Check out his 'Gotham City Boys and Girls Club.'
Speaking of fun, check out Agnes Garbowska's commission for MARVEL TEAM-UP #68.
What are your thoughts on the new Supergirl costume? Have you gotten used to it yet? Here's Todd Nauck's rendition of it posted on his Tumblr.
Michael Walsh constantly showcases his range in drawing pretty much any character he puts his mind to and posts them on his Tumblr. Check out his versions of Wolverine, Batman Beyond and Nick Fury.
This sketch of Harley by Marcio Takara may be from 2010 but he recently posted it on his Tumblr.
Gene Gonzales posted a couple pretty cool Batgirl commissions on his blog. Check out Barbara Gordon on a Vespa and Stephanie Brown.
Ron Salas posted a couple more sketches on his website. Check out his Daredevil and Captain Marvel...er, I guess we should call him Shazam now.
Finally, here's a couple commissions from Steve Epting posted at ComicArtFans. Doctor Strange and Batman have never looked better.
That's it for this week. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled when cruising around the internet. Stay tuned for the next installment of Awesome Art Picks.
