We all love comics and that mean we all love comic book art. It's always amazing how much talent today's artists have. We're used to seeing them draw on their normal monthly assignments but there's something about seeing them draw other things as well. Artists often do commissions and sketches for fun and post them on their blogs, Tumblrs and Twitter accounts. These pieces are so good they need to be seen and enjoyed by all. Each week we search high and low (and most places in between) to find the coolest art on the internet.
This week we'll start off with Marcio Takara. He's been posting a lot of DC characters on his Tumblr and they look amazing. Check out his Wonder Woman, Power Girl, Tim Drake, Dick Grayson, Barbara Gordon and Batman.
Speaking of Batman (he does seem to be featured here every single week), Dustin Nguyen is no stranger to drawing the Dark Knight. Check out the Batman he posted on his Tumblr.
That's not all Dustin posted this week. He also posted a sketch for Where the Wild Things Are (in honor of Maurice Sendak, who passed away this week), Brave and The Avengers.
Robert Atkins has been posting Avengers sketches on his blog for all of April. There's still more to be drawn. Be sure to check his site out if you're interested in owning an actual piece from him. Take a look at his rendition of the Avengers and Mockingbird.

Looks like Gabriel Hardman did some sketches during Free Comic Book Day. Take a look at these sketches he posted on his blog. Agnes Garbowska posted a some great commissions on her Tumblr this week. Check out her happy Batman and Michonne from The Walking Dead.
Skottie Young also did a piece in honor of Maurice Sendak. Check out what he had to say about him and the book on his website. I'm not gonna lie, it got me a little misty. The proceeds to the sale of this sketch and the rest of the week's Daily Sketches are being donated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Skottie also posted a Beetlejuice and Edward Scissorhands piece. The guy is brilliant.
Michael Walsh was busy this week. He posted several sketches on his Tumblr. Check out his Avengers (and there's a colored version on his Tumblr), Lobo and Madrox.

Peter Nguyen posted a mighty sketch on this Tumblr this week. Check his Conan (and the ladies).
We can't get enough of the Avengers. Here's a sketch of Iron Man and Captain America Daniel HDR posted on his Tumblr.
You should check out Paolo Rivera's blog. He's always posted DAREDEVIL sketches along with the reference photos he uses to capture what DD would look like in different action shots. He also posts past commissions he's done such as this Captain America.
I'm going to bend the rules a little here again. Phil Noto posted this great Hit-Girl picture on his Tumblr. It's actually the variant cover to the first issue of the upcoming HIT-GIRL.
Joel Gomez has been posting sketchcards on his Tumblr from the Marvel Beginnings coming from Upper Deck.
Cliff Chiang was contacted to do some Captain America propaganda posters for Captain America: The First Avenger. It didn't happen but imagine how cool it could have been. Check out his Tumblr for more information on them and who he would have worked with on them.
Todd Nauck did a little Twitter contest and let the winner chose who he sketched. Can you believe someone chose NFL Superpro?!?
Mike Mayhew posted a commission of Spider-Man and Mary Jane.
Did you hear Marcus To is doing a couple fill in issues of THE FLASH? He'll be doing issues 10 and 11. I have to say, I do approve. Here's a sketch of Batgirl he posted on his Tumblr.
