Astonishing X-Men Motion Comic Trailer

Will it...astonish you?

A lot of people seem to be on the fence when it comes to motion comics.  We've seen the Spider-Woman original motion comic.  Marvel had announced that there would also be one for the Astonishing X-Men.  The trailer has been sent to us and you can check it out for yourself.  While this particular motion comic is based on an arc from the actual comics, does that change your opinion?  Do you see this as an alternative way to view comics?   If it were an original story, would that make a difference?  Were you a fan of this story arc?

Marvel is proud to unveil the first full-length trailer to the hotly anticipated Astonishing X-Men: Gifted motion comic, based on the seminal comic story by superstar scribe Joss Whedon (Buffy: The Vampire Slayer) and renowned artist John Cassaday (Captain America). Now you can get your first look at Marvel's newest original motion comic (available October 28th on iTunes) as the X-Men embark on a bold new mission!

It seems the common complaint people make is that it's trying to be a cartoon.  I don't think that's their intention.  Marvel has been putting out great animated shows.  They clearly have a nice animation studio.  The way I see motion comics is just another way to enjoy comic books.  Being a motion comic is what sets it apart from just another animated feature.  I'm willing to give this a try.  What story arc would you like to see given the motion treatment?
