AMC's 'Comic Book Men' Returns October 13

Mark your calendars, the third season is almost upon us.

No Caption Provided

AMC's Comic Book Men is set to return with its third season. That means Kevin, Walt, Mike and Ming are coming back. There will be more behind he counter and in front of the mic action as the 'unscripted' series returns on Sunday, October 13 at midnight.

The third season's first episode is entitled "The Incredible Bulk."

Lou Ferrigno visits the Stash to give Bryan a lesson in fitness. A customer wants to buy a key comic by legendary artist and writer, Frank Miller.

Looking ahead, the second episode is entitled "To the Bat Cave."

Walt and the guys get invited to an actual bat cave. A customer wants to sell his collection of original Star Wars action figures.

Chances are we can expect the usual wackiness from the previous seasons. If you want to keep up with the show or just find out more, you can visit the show's Facebook page. You can also follow the show on Twitter.

What are your thoughts on the show? Have you been watching the previous seasons? Are you ready for more?

Never understood why this show was on amc. Shouldn't it be on History Channel or something? Anyways I stopped watching since it got cut from an hour to 30 minutes, and I won't watch it now that it's at midnight. I liked the show but it's not enough for me to keep watching

No, in fact less shows like this should be on the history channel.

Always Sunny, and Comic Book Men are my favourite shows, love letter to SModcast and TESD fans, thats why people don't get the show, each episode is a spin off of an episode of the Tell Em' Steve-Dave podcast

i hear comments about how these guys are actually just a bunch of fakes in real life compared to their characters? idk exactly where i read it (maybe a youtube comment lol), but people said that they're not as charismatic as they're portrayed to be in the show, something like that. I dunno... haven't watched it really, so sorry if i hurt anyone ^_^

Brian Johnson is hilarious.

See, for me, Brian Johnson is the reason I stopped watching comic book men. I happen to like comic books and the rest of the people on the show. So having this grumpy old a$$hole who knows nothing about comics just troll everyone else every episode got really tiring for me.

No way? He's one of the most hilarious people I've ever seen.

If you listen to their podcasts, which are really unscripted, they're actually very close to their characters. The only one that is different in real life is Kevin, and that's because in real life he's HIGH AS BALLS. Haha.

Anyways, this is like, THE BEST SHOW EVER.

this Brian is just a jerk. also I don't like Walt that much he kinda is a poop head. like when he didn't get a tattoo like he promised. or how he really rips people off on old comics. Ming is cool, Mikes the best.

I'm shocked to see so many positive comments in this thread. Not bashing really, I'm a firm believer in no one having to justify their opinions.

I never found this show all that enjoyable. And only watched it at all because it came on after Walking Dead. But hey, if it makes people happy then I guess this is good news.

GREEDY AND LAZY!

Thanks, I was trying to sum up my feelings towards this thing while hoping to find someone who felt similar and you hit two nails right on the head.

This isn't about comics, or even being a geek, it just upheld that wonderful misconception that people who don't read comics have that geeks are a collection of spam sandwiches interested in how much a comic is worth in money and not enjoyment. Oh and which female character has the biggest boobs, or whatever it was they 'discussed'.

This show is meant to give those who are not really into comics and the whole "geek culture" associated with it an inside look of what we're all about, but instead it depicts consumers as people who ONLY care about what value the books they buy now (or ones they already own) will have in the future and makes these particular retailers look like greedy, back biting, pawn brokers who will try their best to give a seller the lowest possible amount for items they know are worth well more than what the like of Walt is willing to buy for said items and even more than what the seller is even asking for.

Hmmm, well I missed almost all of last season so I'd have to catch up but I just don't know if I'd wanna. That first season bored the heck outta me so I'm lacking impetus to continue with episodes...
