AMC Releases 'The Walking Dead' Season 5 Poster

Are you ready for the new season to begin?

The Walking Dead returns Sunday, October 12, at 9 pm ET/PT on AMC. An official poster for Season 5 has been released, featuring Andrew Lincoln as Rick Grimes. (Image credit is Frank Ockenfels 3).

Last season we saw Rick and the gang weren't doing too well. Surprise, surprise. The tagline for Season 5 is "Hunt or Be Hunted." We'll have to see how Rick gets out of the mess he's currently in.

Based on the comic book series written by Robert Kirkman and published by Image Comics, “The Walking Dead” tells the story of the months and years that follow after a zombie apocalypse, and follows a group of survivors, led by police officer Rick Grimes, who travel in search of a safe and secure home. The series stars Andrew Lincoln as Rick Grimes; Norman Reedus as Daryl Dixon; Steven Yeun as Glenn; Lauren Cohan as Maggie; Chandler Riggs as Carl; Danai Gurira as Michonne; Melissa McBride as Carol; Michael Cudlitz as Abraham; Emily Kinney as Beth; Chad L. Coleman as Tyreese; Sonequa-Martin Green as Sasha; and Lawrence Gilliard Jr. as Bob Stookie. The series is executive produced by Showrunner Scott M. Gimple, Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, David Alpert, Greg Nicotero and Tom Luse.

Before the season begins, you can catch up on Season 4 on VOD and AMC.com.

How excited are you for the new season?

Can't wait for this. Finally get to see some awesome action, a badass rick, and father Gabriel. So much awesome stuff coming up this season and the more it can tie into the comics the better. Now let's just hope Daryl survives.

Finally, we get to the Hunters!

It's highly unlikely, but I hope the ratings decline so they can work on improving the quality

I love the way, they have a couple of kinda slow episodes then have a huge jawdroping event like what happened with the governor in outside the prison

Zombie season time.

So they get out of the box?

After the snooze-fest of season 4 and all these super-lame stand-alone-episodes (some called it "character development" ... in fact it was a total loss of direction for the show and the group plot), I'm not really interested ... but I will take a look, since I think the changes to the Hunters story arc could make some sense. But the pacing of TWD must speed up.
