haha I knew you were going to mention that megan fox bit in the book, I'm glad someone else liked the clone series, but then again those were some of the first comics I ever bought as a kid, so maybe I'm a little partial to it for nostaglia sake, I'm thinking ben will return as a villian, who knows, I hope we get another huge clone related bombshell in ASM 600

That's what I like to hear, positive thoughts.  Scarlet Spider had so much potential.  Even back then they were complaining about Peter being married.  Ben would've solved all those problems.  You could've had a "Peter" with all the girl problems.  Send him to another city or the West Coast.  Then they wouldn't have had to do One More Day.

The banter between Jonah and Peter is classic. Oh and so is the hot cousins :P

Sorry, G-Man, but it seems like Marvel hasn't treated the Spider-Man canon with any respect whatsoever.  I am so disappointed with all the weird and pointless things that have happened to Spidey, just like the X-Men.   

Having said that, and not really keen about  Ben Reilly it WOULD be interesting if Osborn somehow kept the actual clone in a meat locker and released him to become part of the Dark Avengers--or to mess with Parker.  Still I can't get into Spider-Man much as I want to simply because of the reasons I stated.

That was my first thought with his Dark Avengers when we saw the slimmer Venom.

Didn't really get into the Clone Saga storyline back in the 90's thought it was a lame idea that caused too much confusion for some people. But I did like the Scarlet Spider / Ben Reilly, even though I didn't like how they were trying to say he was the REAL Spidey and not Peter Parker.

Okay well it would be kind of cool if Norman somehow used him, as long as he dies at the end. I know that's mean but I don't want 7 Spider-Men jumping around causing weird continuity issues again, we already have VENOM who was in a way a "clone" of Spider-Man (he has his powers, and thensome).

I mostly just hate clones.

Loved this ish. Love the whole Brand New Day/ One More Day thing in fact. I know a lot of people refuse to even read it but they're just missing out. Some of the best Spidey stuff in years. 

The Upcoming Clone Saga Mini is an out of continuity series, it's supposed to be the Clone Saga that was originally supposed to happen before it was dragged out for like 2 years of stories

I really like your idea of how they could bring back Ben Reilly, that would be pretty cool

I'm glad someone pointed out "May" not "Mary" before i had to. Anyway, this doesn't mean Ben Reilly is coming back. Raptor only attacked Peter cuz he didn't know that Ben was actually dead. At least, I HOPE Ben doesn't come back. Not that I don't like him, i just think bringing him back now would be too much.

Ben is literally dust. He shouldn't return.

Marvel has stated that Ben won't be returning and will only be seen in flashbacks

I'm hoping that ASM 600 might have another revelation since Doctor Octopus is making his return and he played such a big part in the Ultimate version of the storyline

Alright I aplogize for saying Mary (having Mary Jane on the brain, I guess).  It was a long day doing the podcast, tweaking it and uploading it (not to mention getting the podcast page set up, etc), then there was the editing of the Dark X-Men video to get up, add more news, film this video and then edit it before leaving for home on Friday.  Also I was probably too excited over the idea of Ben Reilly coming back.

Sounds like  an interesting issue

Yes he was.  I never understood why they got rid of him.  If it was just to backpedal on saying he was the TRUE Spider-Man, that's just lame.  It was Marvel's chance to have TWO Spider-Mans (or should I say Spider-MENs?).  They could've had Peter in New York and Ben in San Francisco or LA.  Have Peter be the married Spider-Man and Ben the single dude with girl trouble that the 'younger' readers could relate to.  It just bothered me that they created a whole cast of supporting characters for Ben and then we just never heard from them again.  A waste of them and of Ben. "

Never thought I'd hear about Ben Reilly making an appearance in a comic ever again much less see Peter and J.J. be in-laws. Not a fan of the clone saga but I've learned anything can happen in comics. It does seem a bit over the top to bring back Ben.
