Skateboarding meets Spider-Man

EarthTimes recently reported on not only some new comic book related clothing, but skateboard/street wear inspired clothing. These new pieces of clothing are brought to you by Airwalk, a company that's been in the skate-clothing business since 1986.

A full scale collection of apparel, accessories and other merchandise, featuring a special collaborative Marvel x Airwalk logo, will debut worldwide in the second half of 2010. The Marvel x Airwalk collection will feature a bold aesthetic and graphic design that is inherent in both board sports and comic book art.

ComicAlliance posted some of the possible designs for this upcoming collaboration, debuting later this year.

The piece on the left is all inspired by Silver Surfer. There's a hoodie, two t-shirts, and a pair of shoes. The color scheme based on Silver Surfer, mainly whites and grays.

On the right is something a little more "poppy," but it's hard to see from the picture what is going on. It kind of looks like Beast on there and maybe some other X-Men. There's a hoodie, t-shirt, and flip flops.  There's lots of bright colors, and it looks moderately annoying.

This, in my opinion, is the best of the three. The Captain America "line" seems inspired by the Jack Kirby Cap, and instead of the normal "A" on Cap's mask, you can clearly see the Airwalk "A." It's a pretty cool twist on it. There's a hoodie, t-shirt, and a shoe. The only thing I don't like is the "worn" look to the clothing. Wearing out your clothes used to be a badge of honor, like a hole in your jeans, and they've taken that away.

Would you buy these clothes? If so, which one would you be into? What characters would you like to see on skate-inspired clothing?
