Second Coming is almost over. I have to admit, for all the build up, it doesn't seem like a lot really happened, except for the death of a certain fuzzy mutant.
Today Marvel has announced that there will be "A New Generation of Hope." What the heck does that mean? The only information we have is that we will see a "stunning emergence of a new generation of heroes" this July.
Because "HOPE" is used, we have to wonder if this has anything to do with Hope Summers. Being the mutant messiah, is she going to start up or lead a new team? Since she was the first mutant birth since M-Day, are we going to see more births coming?
We also have the upcoming Vampire wars the X-Men will involved in. How does this relate to that? That will be happening in the new X-Men title wihile this is taking place in Uncanny X-Men (written by Matt Fraction with pencils by Whilce Portacio and cover by Terry Dodson). In Uncanny X-Men #526, there will also be a backup story by Allan Heinberg and Olivier Coipel. Hmm...Heinberg is bringing back Scarlet Witch in Avengers: The Children's Crusade. Is there a connection?
