A New Era Begins For Moon Knight

Moon Knight's always been a favorite of mine.  I hated how he kept getting new series only for them to get canceled.  This current one started out with a bang.  I'm just a little concerned at how the cuckoo factor is such a big role.  Sure all the years of having different personas may have caused some problems but I just don't remember him being this crazy.  And I don't know what is up with Khonshu.  He's pretty much a jerk for a deity.

As for this "new direction," my fingers are crossed.  I am glad that Charlie Huston is still co-plotting.  He did a lot to revive Moon Knight (again).  Mike Benson has stated that he is a fan.  That's good.  Both of them had a love for the character which helped to bring more life into him.  I also love how he just wants to stick it to Stark.  Funny that he's the anti-hero yet he's a government employee.  Even Steve Rogers knew he was too inbalanced to serve.  I don't like the sound of "hidden foes" plotting against him.  But without the bad guys, it'd be a boring comic.

He’s defeated his greatest enemies. He’s survived Civil War and joined the Initiative. But now that he’s leaving piles of broken bodies in his wake, Moon Knight is about to become a marked man in Moon Knight #14! Award-winning television scribe Mike Benson (Punisher MAX Annual 2007, HBO’s Entourage) takes over the writing reins with co-plotter Charlie Huston and the fan favorite art team of Mark Texeira & Javier Saltares (Ghost Rider) to usher in a bold new era for everyone’s favorite dark avenger! Tony Stark, AKA Iron Man, created the Initiative to show what good super heroes can do when run by a governing body—so just what does he do with the poster child for super-powered irresponsibility? The shocking first chapter of “God & Country” sets Moon Knight down a path of no return—with hidden foes plotting his downfall!

“Marc Spector is a broken man,” explained Benson. “He's unpredictable. Nothing comes easy to him. He's an underdog and he's not afraid to fight dirty to get what he wants. I'm a fan of the character and I'm trying to write what I would like to see as a fan -- cool dialogue, hardcore fight sequences and good conflict. I have this wonderful opportunity to play in the Marvel Universe and I want to make the most of it.”

With the return of an old foe on the horizon—one sure to put a smile on the faces of Moon Knight fans—and an imminent confrontation with Tony Stark, this is your chance to get onboard “God & Country,” a startling new direction for one of 2007’s most popular vigilantes in Moon Knight #14!
