A Jonah Hex Promo Bonanaza

More photos, interviews and clips than you can shake a rattlesnake at!

We’ve got just about a week before JONAH HEX gallops into theaters and, thus, we’re really down to the nitty gritty with these promos. Collider’s received HEX’s first press kit, which consists of twenty four hi-res photos (one for every hour of the day) which I’ve collected for all of you Comic Vine maniacs below. These pics give some very real, very resolute looks at Josh Brolin as Hex, Megan Fox as the pistol-packing prostitute Leila, John Malkovich as the rascally black magic man Quentin Turnbull and Michael Fassbender as the tattooed buttonman Burke. You’ll recall that Fassbender’s rumored to be in talks to play either a young Magneto or a new Spidey villain or both.

These are all pretty crisp. Looking at ‘em now reminds me of just how many explosions and spent machine gun casings. This is like Riggs and Murtaugh in the Wild West. Anyway, have a gander for y'self...

DC’s Source Blog’s also posted something of a round table interview amongst Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Gray, the current writers of the JONAH HEX comic, and Jimmy Hayward, the director of the movie. Mr. Hayward can be seen in some of the publicity photos above - - he’s the dude rocking the sunglasses and looking over the monitors. The interview actually gets pretty in-depth, with all three creative guys talking about the influences that went into both the comic and the movie, as well as their favorite westerns like Sam Peckinpah’s THE WILD BUNCH and original outlaw-dragging-a-gattling-gun-in-a-coffin spaghetti Western, DJANO.

If that simply isn't enough to whet your ravenous appetite for all things JONAH HEX, MSN's got a two-minute-long clip of the movie up online. In said clip, Jonah and Leila escape from the bottom of a ship and fight their way up to the top, all to a drop-D intense heavy metal score by Mastodon.
