Arthur Curry
Arthur Curry is a comic book character that first appeared in More Fun Comics #73Orin is the original Aquaman and former King of Atlantis. Upon meeting Arthur Joseph Curry, the second Aquaman, Orin has transformed into the "Dweller of the Depths" and has no memory of his time as Aquaman. Arthur Curry has also been inducted into the Black Lantern Corps by Black Hand.
Origin
Young Orin was born as an Atlantean commoner. He is the son of Queen Atlanna and a demigod(the spirit of Atlantis). He had the uncanny ability to communicate with sea life and he had blond hair. These two qualities caused the Atlanteans to sentence him to death on Mercy Reef, because they believed that those signs were signs of the curse of the monster Kordax. He was found and raised by Porm, a dolphin. He was found by Arthur Curry, a lighthouse keeper. After learning about the surface world, he traveled away north and was caught in a battle between Flash(Barry Allen, the second version) and the Prankster. He helped and Flash convinced him to become a superhero and help found the Justice League of America. After becoming a famous hero, he traveled back to reclaim the throne of Atlantis that was rightfully his.
He got the throne, married Mera, his queen, and produced an heir, Arthur Jr. He fought people like Black Manta and Ocean Master. But then Black Manta murdered Arthur Jr., causing lots of problems. Mera left him, the Justice League was shaken, and the terrorist Charybdis caused a school of piranha to chew off his left hand. And to make things worse, his illegitimate son Koryak(fathered with an Inuit woman) returned and took over Atlantis. But he won back control of Atlantis, now with a harpoon for a hand. He then freed the city from an evil sorceress, but many people were angry with him and he was branded an outcast. Left on Traitor's Reef to die, the mystical Lady of the Lake found him and unveiled the Secret Sea to him. She replaced his harpoon with a hand made of enchanted water and now employs him to fight supernatural menaces along with his duties in the Justice League. When a portion of San Diego went underwater Arthur was able to lower it down. When the people settled into the new Sub Diego, Arthur became their leader and protector of sorts.
