@_andy_can: I mean the second season just ended, and i'd say they're doing it slow and steady, to make the superpower aspect of the universe more natural

Brandon Routh to Play Superhero Again on 'Arrow'
What's funny is how DC is establishing all of these fan-favorite characters in the show, yet don't want to find a way to tie them into their movieverse. Having the characters appear on TV and then transition them into the movies honestly wouldn't be that difficult, it would probably be easier than spending tons of money on a movie in the hopes that the character is received well too.
I've always loved Ray Palmer, he's the only Atom for me, & I think Routh will do a good job with him, & I'm glad to see him get portrayed in live-action.(Even though I don't watch Arrow, I might watch a couple when he does become the Atom.Just like the only Smallville episode I watched was the one with the JSA.) People give Brandon Routh a hard time because of the sucktastic Superman Returns, but that wasn't his fault- it was the material he had to work with. I think he might've been a great Superman if he had the right script & direction. If I blame anyone for that, I blame Bryan Singer. Just like the entire X-Men franchise(with the exception of X3, that was Ratner).
@vaeternus: How do you mean? Like a sort of "Harvey Dent" / White-Knight / Boy-scout figure for the Arrow-verse? I thought that was Barry?
I'm predicting Katana will be part of the flashback scenes in Hong Kong. And that Amanda Waller will be a main cast member. I wonder who will be the villain in the flashbacks.
Anyway, it's cool to have Ray Palmer. I wonder if they will bring Jean Loring back to be his love interest. And a new Count Vertigo? Probably more similar to the actual villain in the comics. Sounds good.
I absolutely love this show and can't wait for the season to begin.

Huh? Oh no I mean literally play Superman even if it's Clark Kent, like remember Smallville how he played Ultraman yet he was totally different then Clark from Earth one? So he could play "Superman" again, perhaps more experienced though/older ;) would love to see him in the current Smallville costume or one similar.
I remember Jean Loring, Ray Palmer's wife, appeared on the second season of Arrow, played by Teryl Rothery. She serves as Moira Queen's defense lawyer when Moira stands trial on charges of criminal conspiracy. They also were mentioned by Laurel in first season, as a couple, will the have any conection?? This jean looks a bit older for Routh.
This news just reminds me of how much I miss Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor. I thought he did a perfect job.
Dude... this is awesome news! Not only does Ray Palmer deserve to get some spotlight, but Routh deserves more work!
@vaeternus: Ah my bad, I thought you meant something else :) But yeah, I'd love to see Welling as Supes again. : ( Doubt they'd do it though.
@navetorment: Yeah same here lol.
so do I, well among other reasons
