Ancient Egypt, one hot summer day and a pack of slaves appears coming from the desert. They are bound in chains and all appear normal, except one, which appears to be from our age. Her name is Ash and she used to be a normal everyday girl until she and her boyfriend happened to witness a meteor shower. Upon finding a meteor, her boyfriend was transformed into a heinous zombie but interestingly she became possessed by the forces of good that showed her a terrible vision. Mankind was going to be destroyed by a mysterious race, that would eventually transform all living things into the army of darkness. That same force donned her with the gift of an arm that though appears to be cut off the wrist can transform itself into any weapon imaginable with the code phrase of "klaatu barata nikto".

Ashley shows her strange power to her captors and they decide to bring her before Cleopatra, leaving her fate into the queen's hands. Ash explains her story to the queen. Then unexpectedly a package appears, Cleopatra opens it and a snake that's inside beats her and kills her. The package appears to be brought by an alien! The alien is hunted down by the Egyptian army that storms the place. Ash and the creature run away from them and soon they are drawn into a pyramid where they fight an army of monsters. Ash then finds a room with a sarcophagus which is a place where a nexus is formed allowing her to go wherever she wants to. She sees a man in terrible danger and jumps in to help him, apparently leaving the alien behind.

Random stuff, needed more space 0

I have to say that because I really wanted to like this issue. The "Evil dead" trilogy ranks among my favorite films because it is unapologetically funny mixing crude humor with splatter horror, it's the ultimate b-movie trilogy of all time. But though it does not appear to be well structured it is actually very well planned. And that's the secret. Here I got the sense of a book that randomly throws stuff at the reader without reason or explanation and that's what killed it for me.So the book's ...
