Orign
Antonio Rodriguez was a small-time crook originally. His wife was stricken with an unknown disease and he turned to Dr. Karl Malus to for help. Malus offered to treat her inexchange for Rodriguez agreeing to be a test subject and employee/mercenary. Antonio agreed and was transformed into a human/armadillo hybrid.
Significant Stories
Following the jailbreak at the Raft, Armadillo and Tiger Shark were apprehended by the New Warriors on their television show.
He later was recruited into the new lineup of Rangers, but apparently shortly after left them and worked for MODOK.
Powers
Armadillo is super-strong with claws. He has a thick hide that protects him from most conventional injury. He is able to tunnel underground and can scale buildings with his claws.
