Ares is the son of Zeus and the Olympian God of War. After years of fighting against The Avengers, Thor, and mostly his own brother Hercules, Ares joined the ranks of the Avengers. He was a member of Tony Stark's official Avengers team and later Norman Osborn's Dark Avengers. After he attacked Osborn for tricking him in starting Siege on Asgard, he was stopped and killed by the Sentry.
they are suppose to make the wearer as strong as hercules and did this when worn by ares doughter who is a 30 tonner. but what would happen if they were a worn by a normal human? would it still make them as strong as Hercules? what if someone who is already as strong as hercules like Thor Gladiator or even Hercules himself put them on would it not increase there strength at all or would it increase them as many times over as it did for ares daughter?
Yes, Ares had those gauntlets and gave them to his daughter but it just happened one time and were never seen again in a comic to my knowledge. So i'm guessing it was just a random plot device. If it would work on a normal human i'd say yes, but it was never confirmed anywhere. So thats just my opinion.
