Archangel » Archangel #1 - Phantom Wings released by Marvel on February 1, 1996.

    Short summary describing this issue.

No recent wiki edits to this page.

Warren Worthington III: X-Man, hero, and philanthropist. But after having his mind altered by Apocalypse, Angel became Archangel, shadow of death. Witness the fallen Angel struggle with his descent into darkness, as he tries to maintain what’s left of his humanity.

Archangel is possessed by a mutant Tuesday bird while his wings begin to grow back and his metallic wings begin to fall off. Apocalypse's plans for him may be more complex than originally thought.

In a highly strange move for Marvel Comics, this issue is in black and white, which serves to greatly highlight the superbly intricate linework of artist Leonardo Manco.
