    A Hasty Set Up

With only four issues to go in the Arak saga, you can probably guess that this issue is mostly devoted to setting things up for the finale. The crew of the Karama arrive in Canton in time for the Dragon Boat Festival, which is promptly beset upon by an actual dragon. The ship's captain also happens to have a brother based in Canton; Haakon is (rather improbably) brought back into the story posing as the Byzantine ambassador to China, and preparations are made to leave Alsind behind.

Overall this all seems like a set-up more than a self contained issue, but it's in no way a disappointment. Arak's underwater battle with a serpent, and the arrival of yet another mythical hero by story's end are highlights.
