    It's ironic that Arak really gets consistently good once it's impending cancellation was announced. Well not cancellation exactly, so much as ending. Roy Thomas, buoyed in Hollywood by his association with the Conan franchise, announced his intention to depart the book with issue 50 so that he could focus more on his screenwriting career.
