I've been interested in reading more older Aquaman comics aside from reading Peter David's run on the character but I've noticed that a lot of people don't talk about the 2003 series. When people do talk about it, they would:

1. Bring up how awesome the "American Tidal" story arc (Issues 15 to 21) is awesome.

2. Say it's a bad series.

So here's my question: Is the 2003 series any good or is it terrible?

It tried to introduce a fantasy element to the character. A temporary "try something new" thing. Like Electric Superman.

Personally I found Sub Diego better.

@blackwind: Hmmmm. I guess that's why DC Comics never bothered re-printing the entire series into an omnibus or some trade paperback graphic novels.
