If Aquaman were to FINALLY get a movie, I think he ought to get his own trilogy.

Recently, I've been thinking about the story arc, 'The Others' and how cinematic it felt. Of course, making this Aquaman's first film wouldn't really capture the epic feel of the story arc, and should be reserved for a third film.

Of course, this would mean that Black Manta would have to be the villain for the first solo film (no complaints here, how incredible sleek would Manta's armour look on screen?).

That leaves the question of who should be the villain for the second film? Ocean Master IMO.

If WB takes the Aquaman property and spins it into King of Atlantis in the same fashion they spun Man of Steel or The Dark Knight then it could work. There could be a film about his origins and rivalry with Black Manta. It could loosely tie to the DCMU. Then for a JL movie have Atlantis be the antagonist with Arthur as it's king. He wants to try to smooth things out diplomatically but Ocean Master pulls a coup and attacks the surface anyway. Arthur then switches sides to the League and they help take back his kingdom to end the war.

There are some articles floating around (pun intended) about an Aquaman movie too.

But I agree. 'Throne of Atlantis' could tie in very nicely to a JL movie...in fact those two story arcs (TOA and The Others) would look really good on the big screen.

I'd much rather an Aquaman movie than a Justice League one & I think the The Others would be brilliant watch on screen.
